We're always looking for new ways to recycle items and materials.
On our travels we meet all sorts of great people and projects. Most of what we collect is redirected and distributed across commercial recycling sites and projects in Scotland, but sometimes we end up going further, in this case, the Gambia.
Over the last few years, we have contributed tonnes of items and equipment to 'The Gambia SOS', who with help from volunteers in Scotland, transport used items from West Scotland all the way to West Africa, where someone's old becomes someone's new.
Not only are we lucky enough to have great customers, we're lucky to meet so many people committed to a circular economy and helping others.
We've been able to send lots of things to the Gambia, including sofas, clothing, bedding, school materials, toys, books and equipment, chillers, utensils, furniture, building materials, plumbing equipment and wiring, plus a couple of stylish sombreros.
